Acceptance of terms

By using FAKT Video Recorder you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

Permitted use

You may use the recorder to capture content you are allowed to record. You are responsible for how you use the application and for any files you create.

User responsibility and lawful recording

You must only record in accordance with applicable law. Obtain consent where required before recording other people, private conversations, or third-party content. Respect third-party rights, including copyright and intellectual property. You are responsible for the content of your recordings.

Prohibited use

You must not use FAKT Video Recorder for abusive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or to violate the rights of others.

Service availability

The application depends on your browser, device, network, and available local storage. Features may be unavailable in unsupported browsers or when required permissions are denied.

Browser, device and storage limitations

Recording length and quality are subject to available local storage and browser or device limits. FAKT Video Recorder is designed for 60+ minute sessions but does not guarantee unlimited recording.

Local recordings and backups

Recordings are stored locally in your browser until you save or delete them. They are not uploaded to FAKT servers. You are responsible for saving important recordings to your computer and keeping your own backups. Browser storage can be cleared by you or by the browser.

Free services

The public recorder is provided free of charge through 1080p, without a watermark. Free recording does not require an account.

FAKT Video Recorder Pro — $10/month

FAKT Video Recorder Pro is a recurring monthly subscription priced at USD $10 per month. Pro unlocks 1440p / 2K and 2160p / 4K recording when the selected capture source, display, browser, operating system and hardware can provide that resolution, plus higher bitrate options, optional separate local tracks, local MP4/WAV/MP3 export, Download All, advanced webcam overlay controls, recording markers and a basic local editor. Editing, transcoding and separate tracks stay in the browser; recording content is not uploaded to FAKT. Browser, CPU, memory and local storage limits still apply, especially for long MP4 conversions.

Billing is handled by Stripe. FAKT does not store payment card details. You can manage or cancel billing through your account using Stripe’s hosted customer portal where configured. Premium access depends on a valid Stripe subscription status maintained on the server. Visiting a checkout success page does not by itself activate Pro. Failed or past-due payments may affect Pro access according to the actual Stripe subscription state. Access continues according to Stripe subscription rules, including through the current paid period when you cancel at period end.

Refund requests, where applicable, are handled according to the published policy and contact process. These Terms do not promise a refund.

Limitation of liability

FAKT Video Recorder is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, FaktImpexInc is not liable for lost recordings, device or browser limitations, or damages arising from use of the application.

Updates to terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
