When trust becomes the last line of defence

Tarin’s father dies protecting a stolen dinosaur egg. Before his final breath, he leaves Tarin with one promise: teach the hatchling that a human hand can be safe.

Tarin names the young carnivore Ash. Across the Eastern March, Nara and her Triceratops, Brann, lead disciplined herbivores trained to hold formation, shield one another and carry the wounded.

When a staged attack turns a peace festival into a battlefield, the allies uncover a plan to set the three lands against one another. As armies close around Ordan, they must protect families, rescue frightened dinosaurs and expose the truth before a false peace becomes a real war.

Emperor Cael believes one ruler can end hunger and disorder. Tarin and Nara must face his final charge without surrendering the creatures they love to become weapons.

An original world shaped by its creator

The story began with a question: what if herbivorous dinosaurs could be trained, armoured and organised to defend their communities, rather than treated as helpless prey or mindless weapons?

M. F. R. writes under a pen name and prefers to let the story take centre stage. The original concept, world, characters, story ideas and creative direction are the author’s.

AI tools assisted with drafting, organising and refining the prose under the author’s direction. The author shaped the story and made its creative decisions.
